About Me
Born and raised in San Francisco, Maria now resides in Austin, Texas with her husband, Rodney, their four children and four dogs.
After a ten year hiatus to raise her family, she returned to school and received her BBA in Business Management from St. Edwards University in the spring of 2012. Come fall of 2013 she will enter St. Mary’s School of Law as a part time 1L student. With a little bit of luck and a lot of hard work she hopes to complete her law degree in spring 2017. God willing, there’s an MFA in Creative Writing in that bucket list, too.
Enjoys reading, writing, and ranting, not necessarily in that order. Just your average over-analytical, neurotic woman who writes to make people laugh, smile, and think. Works in the day, attends school at night, writing in between every chance she gets. Short stories, essays, and memoirs are her poison.
One day she intends to finish writing the book she’s been working on and hopefully, if enough of you like this blog, she’ll have some fans willing to buy it.
Mother, Wife, Writer, Queen of her Queendom.
Disclaimer: As a creative writer I reserve my right to embellish or omit details from the stories in my blog. While many of the feelings I express and try to inspire my readers to feel are genuine, rest assured, this blog is not a clear map of my life. It’s a glimpse of pieces of it, with added pizazz for entertainment. Can’t have social workers or haters flipping through this blog thinking they know me because they read a couple posts I wrote. Just sayin’…

Hello Maria! My name is Dinah. I went to elementary school with Rodney back in those days when life was simple, and we were carefree. I loved your V-day blog so much, I had to repost it on my FB page! I admire your charisma and your motivation for pursueing your dreams of obtaining a degree in law and writing a book! Thank you for sharing your thought and insights on love and life…I am definitely a new fan and follower! God Bless you, Rodney and your four beautiful children.

You are too sweet. I do remember you, the same way I remember all of the older kids at Longfellow and Denman (you, Rodney, Joann, Rose, Em, etc), in that I-want-to-be-just-like-them kind of memory. I appreciate your comments and your sharing my post. And I really appreciate you took the time to tell me..
